staging: wlan-ng: Fix problem with wrong arguments
The function pointer scan in struct cfg80211_ops is not
supposed to be assigned a function with a struct net_device
pointer as an argument. Instead access the net_device struct
in the following way:

In znet_probe(), strncmp() may access beyond 0x100000 and
trigger the below oops in kvm. Fix it by limiting the loop
under 0x100000-8. I suspect the limit could be further decreased
to 0x100000-sizeof(struct netidblk), however no datasheet at hand..

staging: comedi: das08: Correct AI encoding for das08jr-16-ao
The element of `das08_boards[]` for the 'das08jr-16-ao' board has the
`ai_encoding` member set to `das08_encode12`. It should be set to
`das08_encode16` same as the 'das08jr/16' board. After all, this board
has 16-bit AI resolution.
The description of the A/D LSB register at offset 0 seems incorrect in
the user manual "cio-das08jr-16-ao.pdf" as it implies that the AI
resolution is only 12 bits. The diagrams of the A/D LSB and MSB
registers show 15 data bits and a sign bit, which matches what the
software expects for the `das08_encode16` AI encoding method.

xfrm: Workaround incompatibility of ESN and async crypto
ESN for esp is defined in RFC 4303. This RFC assumes that the
sequence number counters are always up to date. However,
this is not true if an async crypto algorithm is employed.
If the sequence number counters are not up to date on sequence
number check, we may incorrectly update the upper 32 bit of
the sequence number. This leads to a DOS.
We workaround this by comparing the upper sequence number,
(used for authentication) with the upper sequence number
computed after the async processing. We drop the packet
if these numbers are different.
To do this, we introduce a recheck function that does this
check in the ESN case.

The vlan encapsulation fields in the maximum flow defintion were
never updated when the representation changed before upstreaming.
In theory this could cause a kernel panic when a maximum length
flow is used. In practice this has never happened (to my knowledge)
because skb allocations are padded out to a cache line so you would
need the right combination of flow and packet being sent to userspace.

Suspending an open usbnet device results in constant
rescheduling of usbnet_bh.
commit 65841fd5 "usbnet: handle remote wakeup asap"
refactored the usbnet_bh code to allow sharing the
urb allocate and submit code with usbnet_resume. In
this process, a test for, and immediate return on,
ENOLINK from rx_submit was unintentionally dropped.
The rx queue will not grow if rx_submit fails,
making usbnet_bh reschedule itself. This results
in a softirq storm if the error is persistent.
rx_submit translates the usb_submit_urb error
EHOSTUNREACH into ENOLINK, so this is an expected
and persistent error for a suspended device. The
old code tested for this condition and avoided
rescheduling. Putting this test back.

sctp: Don't charge for data in sndbuf again when transmitting packet
SCTP charges wmem_alloc via sctp_set_owner_w() in sctp_sendmsg() and via
skb_set_owner_w() in sctp_packet_transmit(). If a sender runs out of
sndbuf it will sleep in sctp_wait_for_sndbuf() and expects to be waken up
by __sctp_write_space().
Buffer space charged via sctp_set_owner_w() is released in sctp_wfree()
which calls __sctp_write_space() directly.
Buffer space charged via skb_set_owner_w() is released via sock_wfree()
which calls sk->sk_write_space() _if_ SOCK_USE_WRITE_QUEUE is not set.
sctp_endpoint_init() sets SOCK_USE_WRITE_QUEUE on all sockets.
Therefore if sctp_packet_transmit() manages to queue up more than sndbuf
bytes, sctp_wait_for_sndbuf() will never be woken up again unless it is
interrupted by a signal.
This could be fixed by clearing the SOCK_USE_WRITE_QUEUE flag but ...
Charging for the data twice does not make sense in the first place, it
leads to overcharging sndbuf by a factor 2. Therefore this patch only
charges a single byte in wmem_alloc when transmitting an SCTP packet to
ensure that the socket stays alive until the packet has been released.
This means that control chunks are no longer accounted for in wmem_alloc
which I believe is not a problem as skb->truesize will typically lead
to overcharging anyway and thus compensates for any control overhead.

s390/partitions: make partition detection independent from DASD ioctls
In some usage scenarios it is desireable to work with disk images or
virtualized DASD devices. One problem that prevents such applications
is the partition detection in ibm.c. Currently it works only for
devices that support the BIODASDINFO2 ioctl, in other words, it only
works for devices that belong to the DASD device driver.
The information gained from the BIODASDINFO2 ioctl is only for a small
set of legacy cases abolutely necessary. All current VOL1, LNX1 and
CMS1 type of disk labels can be interpreted correctly without this
information, as long as the generic HDIO_GETGEO ioctl works and
provides a correct disk geometry.
This patch makes the ibm.c partition detection as independent as
possible from the BIODASDINFO2 ioctl. Only the following two cases are
still restricted to real DASDs:
- An FBA DASD, or LDL formatted ECKD DASD without any disk label.
- An old style LNX1 label (without large volume support) on a disk
with inconsistent device geometry.

s390/mm: change default addressing mode
Change the default addressing mode so that user space runs in primary space
and the kernel runs in home space.
In addition remove the "switch_amode" kernel parameter so all users who
already specified they want the new default behaviour will stay in the
"switched" mode instead of in the opposite they intended.
If there is a need to switch addressing modes, this can be done with the
"user_mode" kernel parameter: user_mode=home

s390/smp: avoid concurrent write to sigp status field
When a sigp instruction is issued it may store a status. This status is
currently stored in a per cpu field of the target cpu.
If multiple cpus issue a sigp instruction with the same target cpu
and a status is stored the result is not necessarily as expected.
Currently this is not an issue:
- on cpu hotplug no sigps, except "restart" and "sense" are sent to the
target cpu.
- on external call we don't look at the status if it is stored
- on sense running the condition code "status stored" is sufficient to
tell if a cpu is running or not

s390/cache: add cpu cache information to /proc/cpuinfo
Add a line for each cpu cache to /proc/cpuinfo.
Since we only have information of private cpu caches in sysfs we
add a line for each cpu cache in /proc/cpuinfo which will also
contain information about shared caches.
Allow user-space processes to use transactional execution (TX).
If the TX facility is available user space programs can use
transactions for fine-grained serialization based on the data
objects that are referenced during a transaction. This is
useful for lockless data structures and speculative compiler
optimizations.

s390: add support for runtime instrumentation
Allow user-space threads to use runtime instrumentation (RI). To enable RI
for a thread there is a new s390 specific system call, sys_s390_runtime_instr,
that takes as parameter a realtime signal number. If the RI facility is
available the system call sets up a control block for the calling thread with
the appropriate permissions for the thread to modify the control block.
The user-space thread can then use the store and modify RI instructions to
alter the control block and start/stop the instrumentation via RION/RIOFF.
If the user specified program buffer runs full RI triggers an external
interrupt. The external interrupt is translated to a real-time signal that
is delivered to the thread that enabled RI on that CPU. The number of
the real-time signal is the number specified in the RI system call. So,
user-space can select any available real-time signal number in case the
application itself uses real-time signals for other purposes.
The kernel saves the RI control blocks on task switch only if the running
thread was enabled for RI. Therefore, the performance impact on task switch
should be negligible if RI is not used.
RI is only enabled for user-space mode and is disabled for the supervisor
state.

s390/cache: expose cpu cache topology via sysfs
Expose cpu cache topology via sysfs.
The created sysfs directory structure is compatible to what x86, ia64
and powerpc have.
On s390 we expose only information about cpu caches which are private
to a cpu via sysfs . Caches which are shared between cpus do not have
a sysfs representation.
The reason for that is that the file "shared_cpu_map" is mandatory
and only if running under LPAR it is possible to tell which cpus
share which cache. Second level hypervisors however do not and cannot
expose that information to guests.
In order to have a consistent view we made the choice to always only
expose information about private cpu caches via sysfs.

s390: enable large page support with CONFIG_DEBUG_PAGEALLOC
So far, large page support was completely disabled with
CONFIG_DEBUG_PAGEALLOC, although it would be sufficient if only the
large page kernel mapping was disabled. This patch enables large page
support with CONFIG_DEBUG_PAGEALLOC, while it prevents the large kernel
mapping in that case.

s390/string: provide asm lib functions for memcpy and memcmp
Our memcpy and memcmp variants were implemented by calling the corresponding
gcc builtin variants.
However gcc is free to replace a call to __builtin_memcmp with a call to memcmp
which, when called, will result in an endless recursion within memcmp.
So let's provide asm variants and also fix the variants that are used for
uncompressing the kernel image.
In addition remove all other occurences of builtin function calls.

s390/mm: fix deadlock in unmap_hugepage_range()
git commit cd2934a3 moved the flush_tlb_range() within
__unmap_hugepage_range() inside the mm->page_table_lock, which
triggered a deadlock in s390 tlb flushing code. __tlb_flush_mm_cond()
also tries to acquire the mm->page_table_lock, but that is not needed
because all callers already have mm->mmap_sem or mm->page_table_lock,
so it can be safely removed to fix the deadlock.

ARM: 7505/1: split out ATAGS parsing
Make ATAGS parsing into a source file of its own, namely atags_parse.c.
Also rename compat.c to atags_compat.c to make it clearer what it is
about. Same for atags.c which is now atags_proc.c. Gather all the atags
function declarations into a common atags.h.

ARM: Fix bad merge bd1274dc005 (Merge branch 'v6v7' into devel)
Commit 774c096bf9e49 (ARM: v6/v7 cache: allow cache calls to be
optimized) got dropped when the merge conflicts for moving the contents
of the files in commit 753790e713d (ARM: move cache/processor/fault
glue to separate include files) was fixed up in merge bd1274dc005
(Merge branch 'v6v7' into devel).
This puts the change back.

Gobi devices are composite, needing both the qcserial and
qmi_wwan drivers to support all functions. Re-syncing the
list of supported devices with qcserial.

fddi: 64 bit bug in smt_add_para()
The intent was to set 4 bytes of data so that's why the sp_len is set
to 4 on the next line. The cast to u_long pointer clears 8 bytes
on 64 bit arches.

time: Move ktime_t overflow checking into timespec_valid_strict
Andreas Bombe reported that the added ktime_t overflow checking added to
timespec_valid in commit 4e8b14526ca7 ("time: Improve sanity checking of
timekeeping inputs") was causing problems with X.org because it caused
timeouts larger then KTIME_T to be invalid.
Previously, these large timeouts would be clamped to KTIME_MAX and would
never expire, which is valid.
This patch splits the ktime_t overflow checking into a new
timespec_valid_strict function, and converts the timekeeping codes
internal checking to use this more strict function.

openrisc: delay: fix handling of counter overflow
If the counter overflows during a __delay operation, we will exit the
loop prematurely. For example, calling __delay(0x100) with the counter
at 0xffffff00 gives us a target of 0x0. The unsigned comparison in the
while loop will likely be false on the first iteration (if the counter
is now anything other than 0) and we will return early.
This patch fixes the problem by comparing deltas in the loop rather than
absolute values.

openrisc: delay: fix loops calculation for __const_udelay
The openrisc implementation of __const_udelay casts the result of a
32-bit multiplication to 64 bits and passes the top 32 bits to __delay.
Since there are no casts on the arguments, this results in a __delay of
zero, regardless of the xloops parameter.
This patch fixes the problem by casting xloops to (unsigned long long),
ensuring that the multiplication is not truncated.
