In Dual EMAC, the default VLANs are used to segregate Rx packets between
the ports, so adding the same default VLAN to the switch will affect the
normal packet transfers. So returning error on addition of dual EMAC
default VLANs.
Even if EMAC 0 default port VLAN is added to EMAC 1, it will lead to
break dual EMAC port separations.

net: cls_bpf: fix auto generation of per list handles
When creating a bpf classifier in tc with priority collisions and
invoking automatic unique handle assignment, cls_bpf_grab_new_handle()
will return a wrong handle id which in fact is non-unique. Usually
altering of specific filters is being addressed over major id, but
in case of collisions we result in a filter chain, where handle ids
address individual cls_bpf_progs inside the classifier.
Issue is, in cls_bpf_grab_new_handle() we probe for head->hgen handle
in cls_bpf_get() and in case we found a free handle, we're supposed
to use exactly head->hgen. In case of insufficient numbers of handles,
we bail out later as handle id 0 is not allowed.

net: cls_bpf: fix size mismatch on filter preparation
In cls_bpf_modify_existing(), we read out the number of filter blocks,
do some sanity checks, allocate a block on that size, and copy over the
BPF instruction blob from user space, then pass everything through the
classic BPF checker prior to installation of the classifier.
We should reject mismatches here, there are 2 scenarios: the number of
filter blocks could be smaller than the provided instruction blob, so
we do a partial copy of the BPF program, and thus the instructions will
either be rejected from the verifier or a valid BPF program will be run;
in the other case, we'll end up copying more than we're supposed to,
and most likely the trailing garbage will be rejected by the verifier
as well (i.e. we need to fit instruction pattern, ret {A,K} needs to be
last instruction, load/stores must be correct, etc); in case not, we
would leak memory when dumping back instruction patterns. The code should
have only used nla_len() as Dave noted to avoid this from the beginning.
Anyway, lets fix it by rejecting such load attempts.

"The lifetime rules of cgroup hierarchies always have been somewhat
counter-intuitive and cgroup core tried to enforce that hierarchies
w/o userland-visible usages must die in finite amount of time so that
the controllers can be reused for other hierarchies; unfortunately,
this can't be implemented reasonably for the memory controller - the
kmemcg part doesn't have any way to forcefully drain the existing
usages, leading to an interruptible hang if a following mount attempts
to use the controller in any way.
So, it seems like we're stuck with "hierarchies live on till they die
whenever that may be" at least for now. This pretty much confines
attaching controllers to hierarchies to before the hierarchies are
actively used by making dynamic configurations post active usages
unreliable. This has never been reliable and should be fine in
practice given how cgroups are used.
After the patch, hierarchies aren't killed if it isn't already
drained. A following mount attempt of the same mount options will
reuse the existing hierarchy. Mount attempts with differing options
will fail w/ -EBUSY"

mm: page_alloc: embed OOM killing naturally into allocation slowpath
The OOM killing invocation does a lot of duplicative checks against the
task's allocation context. Rework it to take advantage of the existing
checks in the allocator slowpath.
The OOM killer is invoked when the allocator is unable to reclaim any
pages but the allocation has to keep looping. Instead of having a check
for __GFP_NORETRY hidden in oom_gfp_allowed(), just move the OOM
invocation to the true branch of should_alloc_retry(). The __GFP_FS
check from oom_gfp_allowed() can then be moved into the OOM avoidance
branch in __alloc_pages_may_oom(), along with the PF_DUMPCORE test.
__alloc_pages_may_oom() can then signal to the caller whether the OOM
killer was invoked, instead of requiring it to duplicate the order and
high_zoneidx checks to guess this when deciding whether to continue.

tools lib traceevent: Add support for IP address formats
Add helpers for the following kernel formats:
%pi4 print an IPv4 address with leading zeros
%pI4 print an IPv4 address without leading zeros
%pi6 print an IPv6 address without colons
%pI6 print an IPv6 address with colons
%pI6c print an IPv6 address in compressed form with colons
%pISpc print an IP address from a sockaddr
Allows these formats to be used in tracepoints.
Quite a bit of this is adapted from code in lib/vsprintf.c.

ALSA: seq-dummy: remove deadlock-causing events on close
When the last subscriber to a "Through" port has been removed, the
subscribed destination ports might still be active, so it would be
wrong to send "all sounds off" and "reset controller" events to them.
The proper place for such a shutdown would be the closing of the actual
MIDI port (and close_substream() in rawmidi.c already can do this).
This also fixes a deadlock when dummy_unuse() tries to send events to
its own port that is already locked because it is being freed.

iommu/tegra: gart: Provide default ->map_sg() callback
Commit 315786ebbf4a ("iommu: Add iommu_map_sg() function") adds a new
->map_sg() callback and provides a default implementation that drivers
can use until they implement a hardware-specific variant. Unfortunately
the Tegra GART driver was not updated as part of that commit, so that
iommu_map_sg() calls on a domain provided by the GART cause an oops.

The driver currently doesn't work as expected and causes existing setups
with Tegra20 to break after commit df06b759f2cf ("drm/tegra: Add IOMMU
support"). To restore these setups, do not register the operations with
the platform bus for now. Fixing this properly will involve non-trivial
changes to the DRM driver, which are unlikely to be accepted at this
point in the release cycle.

compress code and a fix for error handling on probe failures which would
have been harmless in the past but now oopses with the new dynamic probe

drm/i915: Fix and clean BDW PCH identification
It seems in the past we have BDW with PCH not been propperly identified
and we force it to be LPT and we were warning !IS_HASWELL on propper identification.
Now that products are out there we are receiveing logs with this incorrect WARN.
And also according to local tests on all production BDW here ULT or HALO we don't
need this force anymore. So let's clean this block for real.

drm/i915: Only fence tiled region of object.
When creating a fence for a tiled object, only fence the area that
makes up the actual tiles. The object may be larger than the tiled
area and if we allow those extra addresses to be fenced, they'll
get converted to addresses beyond where the object is mapped. This
opens up the possiblity of writes beyond the end of object.
To prevent this, we adjust the size of the fence to only encompass
the area that makes up the actual tiles. The extra space is considered
un-tiled and now behaves as if it was a linear object.

drm/i915: respect the VBT minimum backlight brightness
introduced a bug which resulted in inconsistent brightness levels on
different machines. If a suspended was entered with the screen off some
machines would resume with the screen at minimum brightness and others
at maximum brightness.
The following commands can be used to produce this behavior.
xset dpms force off
sleep 1
sudo systemctl suspend
(resume ...)
The root cause of this problem is a comparison which checks to see if
the backlight level is zero when the panel is enabled. If it is zero,
it is set to the maximum level. Unfortunately, not all machines have a
minimum level of zero. On those machines the level is left at the
minimum instead of begin set to the maximum.
Fix the bug by updating the comparison to check for the minimum
backlight level instead of zero. Also, expand the comparison for
the possible case when the level is less than the minimum.

drm/i915: Init PPGTT before context enable
Commit 82460d972 ("drm/i915: Rework ppgtt init to no require an aliasing
ppgtt") introduced a regression on Broadwell, triggering the following
IOMMU fault at startup:
I sugggested this change to David after staring at the offending patch
for a while. I have no idea and theory whatsoever why this would upset
the gpu less than the other way round. But it seems to work. David
promised to chase hw people a bit more to get a more meaningful answer.
Wrt the comment that this deletes: I've done some digging and afaict
loading context before ppgtt enable was once required before our recent
restructuring of the context/ppgtt init code: Before that context sw
setup (i.e. allocating the default context) and hw setup was smashed
together. Also the setup of the default context was the bit that
actually allocated the aliasing ppgtt structures. Which is the reason
for the context before ppgtt depency.
Or was, since with all the untangling there's no no real depency any
more (functional, who knows what the hw is doing), so the comment is
just stale.

Today we expect that all the bank are enabled, and count the number of banks
used by the pinctrl based on it instead of using the last bank id enabled.
So switch to it, set the chained IRQ at runtime based on enabled banks
and wait only the number of enabled gpio controllers at probe time.

390/qeth: Fix locking warning during qeth device setup
Do not wait for channel command buffers in IPA commands.
The potential wait could be done while holding a spin lock and causes
in recent kernels such a bug if kernel lock debugging is enabled:
The device driver has plenty of command buffers available
per channel for channel command communication.
In the extremely rare case when there is no command buffer
available, return a NULL pointer and issue a warning
in the kernel log. The caller handles the case when
a NULL pointer is encountered and returns an error.
In the case the wait for command buffer is possible
(because no lock is held as in the OSN case), still wait
until a channel command buffer is available.

ipv6: Fix __ip6_route_redirect
In my last commit (a3c00e4: ipv6: Remove BACKTRACK macro), the changes in
__ip6_route_redirect is incorrect. The following case is missed:
1. The for loop tries to find a valid gateway rt. If it fails to find
one, rt will be NULL.
2. When rt is NULL, it is set to the ip6_null_entry.
3. The newly added 'else if', from a3c00e4, will stop the backtrack from
happening.

net: dsa: set slave MII bus PHY mask
When registering a mdio bus, Linux assumes than every port has a PHY and tries
to scan it. If a switch port has no PHY registered, DSA will fail to register
the slave MII bus. To fix this, set the slave MII bus PHY mask to the switch
PHYs mask.
As an example, if we use a Marvell MV88E6352 (which is a 7-port switch with no
registered PHYs for port 5 and port 6), with the following declared names:
DSA will fail to create the switch instance. With the PHY mask set for the
slave MII bus, only the PHY for ports 0-4 will be scanned and the instance will
be successfully created.

ARM: sunxi: dt: Fix aliases
Commit f77d55a3b56a ("serial: 8250_dw: get index of serial line from DT
aliases") made the serial driver now use the serial aliases to get the tty
number, pointing out that our aliases have been wrong all along.
Remove them from the DTSI and add custom ones in the relevant boards.

storage: Revise/fix quirk for 04E6:000F SCM USB-SCSI converter
I recently posted a patch ("storage: Add quirk for another SCM-based
USB-SCSI converter") to add a quirk for the converter with ID 04E6:000F,
which is listed along with 04E6:000B in the Windows INF file for the
Startech ICUSBSCSI2 as "eUSB SCSI Adapter (Bus Powered)".
The already-present quirk for 04E6:000B has USB_SC_SCSI/USB_PR_BULK, not
USB_SC_DEVICE/USB_PR_DEVICE. Change the 04E6:000F quirk to match that,
since it will probably be required.

staging: nvec: specify a platform-device base id
commit 6e3f62f079 (mfd: core: Fix platform-device id generation) modified
the computation of the mfd cell id. Negative numbers forbit the specification
of cell ids as we do. Fix this for now by specifying a base of 0 instead. In
the long run, this may be changed to automatic cell ids (base -2).

ipvlan: fix incorrect usage of IS_ERR() macro in IPv6 code path.
The ip6_route_output() always returns a valid dst pointer unlike in IPv4
case. So the validation has to be different from the IPv4 path. Correcting
that error in this patch.
This was picked up by a static checker with a following warning -
drivers/net/ipvlan/ipvlan_core.c:380 ipvlan_process_v6_outbound()

net: llc: use correct size for sysctl timeout entries
The timeout entries are sizeof(int) rather than sizeof(long), which
means that when they were getting read we'd also leak kernel memory
to userspace along with the timeout values.

netxen: fix netxen_nic_poll() logic
NAPI poll logic now enforces that a poller returns exactly the budget
when it wants to be called again.
If a driver limits TX completion, it has to return budget as well when
the limit is hit, not the number of received packets.

With the commit d75b1ade567ffab ("net: less interrupt masking in NAPI") napi repoll
is done only when work_done == budget. When we are in busy_poll we return 0 in
napi_poll. We should return budget.

* A fix that improves roaming behavior. Same fix has been tested for
a while in iwldvm. This is a bit of a work around, but the real fix
should be in mac80211 and will come later.
* A fix for BARs that avoids a WARNING.
* one fix for rfkill while scheduled scan is running.
Linus's system hit this issue. WiFi would be unavailable
after this has happpened because of bad state in cfg80211.

The commit (3d125f9c91c5) cause i.MX6SX sdb enet cannot work. The cause is
the commit add mdio node with un-correct phy address.
The patch just correct i.MX6sx sdb board enet phy address.

dm: fix handling of multiple internal suspends
Commit ffcc393641 ("dm: enhance internal suspend and resume interface")
attempted to handle multiple internal suspends on the same device, but
it did that incorrectly. When these functions are called in this order
on the same device the device is no longer suspended, but it should be:
dm_internal_suspend_noflush
dm_internal_suspend_noflush
dm_internal_resume
Fix this bug by maintaining an 'internal_suspend_count' and resuming
the device when this count drops to zero.

hwmon: (i5500_temp) Don't bind to disabled sensors
On many motherboards, for an unknown reason, the thermal sensor seems
to be disabled and will return a constant temperature value of 36.5
degrees Celsius. Don't bind to the device in that case, so that we
don't report this bogus value to userspace.

amd-xgbe: Use proper Rx flow control register
Updated hardware documention shows the Rx flow control settings were
moved from the Rx queue operation mode register to a new Rx queue flow
control register. The old flow control settings are now reserved areas
of the Rx queue operation mode register. Update the code to use the new
register.

i2c: s3c2410: fix ABBA deadlock by keeping clock prepared
This patch solves deadlock between clock prepare mutex and regmap mutex reported
by Tomasz Figa in [1] by implementing solution from [2]: "always leave the clock
of the i2c controller in a prepared state".
On each i2c transfer handled by s3c24xx_i2c_xfer(), clk_prepare_enable() was
called, which calls clk_prepare() then clk_enable(). clk_prepare() takes
prepare_lock mutex before proceeding. Note that i2c transfer functions are
invoked from many places in kernel, typically with some other additional lock
held.
It may happen that function on CPU1 (e.g. regmap_update_bits()) has taken a
mutex (i.e. regmap lock mutex) then it attempts i2c communication in order to
proceed (so it needs to obtain clock related prepare_lock mutex during transfer
preparation stage due to clk_prepare() call). At the same time other task on
CPU0 wants to operate on clock (e.g. to (un)prepare clock for some other reason)
so it has taken prepare_lock mutex.
Implemented solution from [2] leaves i2c clock prepared. Preparation is done in
s3c24xx_i2c_probe() function. Without this patch, it is immediately unprepared
by clk_disable_unprepare() call. I've replaced this call with clk_disable() and
I've added clk_unprepare() call in s3c24xx_i2c_remove().
The s3c24xx_i2c_xfer() function now uses clk_enable() instead of
clk_prepare_enable() (and clk_disable() instead of clk_unprepare_disable()).

arm64: dts: add baud rate to Juno stdout-path
Without explicit command-line parameters, the Juno UART ends up running
at 57600 baud in the kernel, which is at odds with the 115200 baud used
by the rest of the firmware. Since commit 7914a7c5651a5161 now lets us
fix this by specifying default options in stdout-path, do so.

restore_user_regs early stack deallocation is buggy in the presence of
FIQs which switch to SVC mode, and could lead to corrupted registers
being returned to a user process given an inopportune FIQ event.
Another bug was spotted in the ARM perf code where it could lose track
of perf counter overflows, leading to incorrect perf results.
Lastly, a bug in arm_add_memory() was spotted where the memory sizes
aren't properly rounded. As most people pass properly rounded sizes,
this hasn't been noticed"

dm cache: fix problematic dual use of a single migration count variable
Introduce a new variable to count the number of allocated migration
structures. The existing variable cache->nr_migrations became
overloaded. It was used to:
i) track of the number of migrations in flight for the purposes of
quiescing during suspend.
ii) to estimate the amount of background IO occuring.
Recent discard changes meant that REQ_DISCARD bios are processed with
a migration. Discards are not background IO so nr_migrations was not
incremented. However this could cause quiescing to complete early.
(i) is now handled with a new variable cache->nr_allocated_migrations.
cache->nr_migrations has been renamed cache->nr_io_migrations.
cleanup_migration() is now called free_io_migration(), since it
decrements that variable.
Also, remove the unused cache->next_migration variable that got replaced
with with prealloc_structs a while ago.

dm cache: share cache-metadata object across inactive and active DM tables
If a DM table is reloaded with an inactive table when the device is not
suspended (normal procedure for LVM2), then there will be two dm-bufio
objects that can diverge. This can lead to a situation where the
inactive table uses bufio to read metadata at the same time the active
table writes metadata -- resulting in the inactive table having stale
metadata buffers once it is promoted to the active table slot.
Fix this by using reference counting and a global list of cache metadata
objects to ensure there is only one metadata object per metadata device.

KVM: x86: SYSENTER emulation is broken
SYSENTER emulation is broken in several ways:
1. It misses the case of 16-bit code segments completely (CVE-2015-0239).
2. MSR_IA32_SYSENTER_CS is checked in 64-bit mode incorrectly (bits 0 and 1 can
still be set without causing #GP).
3. MSR_IA32_SYSENTER_EIP and MSR_IA32_SYSENTER_ESP are not masked in
legacy-mode.
4. There is some unneeded code.
Fix it.

nl80211: fix per-station group key get/del and memory leak
In case userspace attempts to obtain key information for or delete a
unicast key, this is currently erroneously rejected unless the driver
sets the WIPHY_FLAG_IBSS_RSN flag. Apparently enough drivers do so it
was never noticed.
Fix that, and while at it fix a potential memory leak: the error path
in the get_key() function was placed after allocating a message but
didn't free it - move it to a better place. Luckily admin permissions
are needed to call this operation.

mac80211: properly set CCK flag in radiotap
Fix a regression introduced by commit a5e70697d0c4 ("mac80211: add radiotap flag
and handling for 5/10 MHz") where the IEEE80211_CHAN_CCK channel type flag was
incorrectly replaced by the IEEE80211_CHAN_OFDM flag. This commit fixes that by
using the CCK flag again.

x86/tsc: Change Fast TSC calibration failed from error to info
Many users see this message when booting without knowning that it is
of no importance and that TSC calibration may have succeeded by
another way.
As explained by Paul Bolle in

"Fast TSC calibration failed" should not be considered as an error
since other calibration methods are being tried afterward. At most,
those send a warning if they fail (not an error). So let's change
the message from error to warning.

mac80211: only roll back station states for WDS when suspending
In normal cases (i.e. when we are fully associated), cfg80211 takes
care of removing all the stations before calling suspend in mac80211.
But in the corner case when we suspend during authentication or
association, mac80211 needs to roll back the station states. But we
shouldn't roll back the station states in the suspend function,
because this is taken care of in other parts of the code, except for
WDS interfaces. For AP types of interfaces, cfg80211 takes care of
disconnecting all stations before calling the driver's suspend code.
For station interfaces, this is done in the quiesce code.
For WDS interfaces we still need to do it here, so move the code into
a new switch case for WDS.
